Welcome to Your Sit Stay Squat Feline Fitness Course
Terms and Conditions, Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability
Version date: August 10, 2026
This agreement is between you, the course participant, and Sarah Keller, carrying on business as Sit Stay Squat.
In this agreement, the “Course” means the Sit Stay Squat Feline Fitness Course and all associated videos, written lessons, demonstrations, photographs, diagrams, downloads, assessments, and other materials.
By enrolling in, accessing, or participating in the Course, and by indicating your acceptance where prompted, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Eligibility and Authority
You confirm that:
-
you have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
-
you are the legal owner or primary guardian of each participating cat, or you otherwise have legal authority to make decisions regarding that cat
-
the information you provide about yourself and your cat is accurate to the best of your knowledge
2. Purpose and Intended Use
The Course provides general education for cat guardians interested in evidence-informed, reward-based feline fitness.
Course activities are intended to provide opportunities for cats to practice targeted exercise, posture, movement, coordination, strength, body awareness, and general physical function.
The Course is for your personal use with your own cat or cats.
The Course:
-
is not a certification program
-
does not qualify or authorize you to provide feline fitness, bodywork, veterinary rehabilitation, or other professional services
Professionals may enroll for personal education, but the Course alone does not establish professional competence or expand anyone’s scope of practice. Anyone providing services to clients is responsible for obtaining appropriate education, credentials, insurance, permissions, and professional oversight.
3. General Education and No Medical Advice
The Course provides general educational information. It does not provide individualized veterinary or medical advice.
The Course is not a substitute for:
-
veterinary assessment, diagnosis, or treatment
-
veterinary rehabilitation or physiotherapy
-
post-surgical rehabilitation instructions
-
individualized assessment by a qualified professional
-
emergency veterinary care
Sit Stay Squat does not diagnose, treat, rehabilitate, or prevent medical, orthopedic, neurological, or behavioral conditions.
No particular improvement, outcome, or reduction in injury risk is promised or guaranteed.
4. Veterinary Considerations
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate veterinary advice and determining whether your cat is medically suitable for exercise.
Consult your veterinarian before beginning or continuing the Course if your cat has:
-
known or suspected pain, lameness, stiffness, weakness, or altered movement
-
a recent injury, illness, or surgery
-
an orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, or other systemic condition
-
unexplained exercise intolerance or unusual fatigue
-
a notable change in posture, gait, jumping, activity, or willingness to move
-
any other health concern that could affect safe participation
Some activities may be inappropriate for cats with certain health conditions, even when the activity appears gentle.
Stop the activity and seek veterinary guidance if your cat shows pain, lameness, weakness, marked fatigue, distress, labored or open-mouth breathing, collapse, or any new or worsening change in movement or behavior. Signs of an emergency require immediate veterinary care.
5. Assumption of Risk
Feline fitness and targeted exercise involve physical movement and interaction with an animal. These activities carry inherent and foreseeable risks.
Risks may include:
-
injury to you, your cat, another person, or another animal
-
slips, trips, falls, bites, or scratches
-
muscle strain, overexertion, loss of footing, or other physical injury
-
aggravation of a known or previously unrecognized health condition
-
injury associated with equipment, surfaces, surroundings, handling, or incorrect performance
-
unexpected movement or behavior from your cat
You understand that Sit Stay Squat cannot physically examine your cat, supervise your environment, verify your equipment, or directly control how you apply the Course information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily accept the risks associated with accessing, participating in, and applying the Course.
6. Participant Responsibilities
You agree that you will:
-
review the instructions and safety guidance before attempting each activity
-
choose activities and progressions appropriate for your cat’s current abilities
-
use reward-based methods and never force or physically compel your cat to participate
-
use stable, appropriately sized equipment on a secure, non-slip surface
-
keep the exercise area clear of avoidable hazards
-
supervise your cat throughout each session
-
observe your cat for changes in movement, comfort, engagement, breathing, or behavior
-
modify, pause, or discontinue an activity when appropriate
-
seek veterinary or other qualified professional guidance when needed
-
take reasonable precautions for your own safety while handling equipment and interacting with your cat
Participation should remain voluntary for the cat. A cat’s refusal, avoidance, or loss of engagement should not be overcome through force, restraint, intimidation, or physical pressure.
7. Release and Waiver of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU RELEASE AND DISCHARGE SARAH KELLER, SIT STAY SQUAT, AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES, COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS THE “RELEASED PARTIES,” FROM CLAIMS, DEMANDS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO, PARTICIPATION IN, OR APPLICATION OF THE COURSE.
