Platforms and Targets

Platform (x1):

Purpose:
Used for foundational body awareness, encouraging good alignment, and providing proprioceptive feedback.

Feet Targets (x2)

For sizing guidelines, please read: Feet Targets for Canine Fitness

Begin with  Large Feet Targets.
The increased surface area improves accuracy and increases your puppy’s likelihood of success during early targeting stages.

As targeting skills and motor control improve, progress to Standard Feet Targets to increase paw placement precision and refine neuromuscular control.


Optional (But Recommended)

Cone and Stool

Cones (x1–3)

Can be substituted with household objects.

Purpose:
These are used for teaching your puppy to independently move around a cone.

Elevated Prop or Stool (x1)

  • Height between the puppy’s carpal joint and elbow joint

  • Width wider than shoulder width

  • Measure from the outside of one front paw to the outside of the other front paw

    • Multiply that measurement by 1.5–2x

  • Non-slip surface

  • Stable base (no wobble)

Purpose:
These are used for elevating the puppy’s front feet for a variety of exercise progressions and stretches.
