These classes consist of circuit training with a focus on building core strength and muscle tone in both you and your dog!
Although our dogs can’t really lift weights with us, strength training for dogs is very similar to that with humans – the underlying concept is to provide progressive overload to movement in order to stimulate strength and muscle growth.
Incorporating canine strength training exercises helps to repair imbalances within the body and trains your dog to use the correct muscles for movement thereby taking pressure off the spinal discs, hips and joints in turn preventing chronic pain and injury.
This unique cross training program utilizes specialized canine fitness equipment for the dogs, and modalities such as the TRX, Kettlebells, Bands and Dumbbells for the humans, as well as plenty of creative bodyweight exercises designed for you and your dog to complete together – strengthening not only your muscles, but that special human-canine bond as well.
