Before and After Canine Fitness
Before and After Canine Fitness Training
Real examples of dogs – and cats – building strength, body awareness, and confidence through structured, individualized fitness training with Sarah Keller.
These before and after examples reflect the kinds of changes that may occur when exercise is structured, progressive, individualized, and guided by movement observation.
These changes develop gradually through consistent exercise designed around each animal’s posture, movement, and lifestyle. The goal is not appearance alone, but more efficient, comfortable movement and improved physical function over time.
Uno (Senior Shih Tzu)

Uno’s transformation demonstrates how targeted canine fitness training can support improved hind end weight bearing, reduced compensatory front end loading, and greater ease with flexed positions, contributing to more balanced posture and alignment.
Ollie’s transformation demonstrates how targeted canine fitness training can support improved topline alignment, reduce muscular imbalances, and promote better joint alignment for a more balanced posture.
Milo (Goldendoodle)

Milo’s transformation demonstrates how targeted canine fitness training can support more symmetrical weight bearing, improved joint alignment, and greater overall comfort.
Winnie (Windsprite)

Client Testimonial:
Working with Sarah has truly been the best thing I could have done for my Windsprite Winnie!
I started working with Sarah because Winnie no longer seemed to be able to reach her full potential in the sports we do together. She was cleared by physio and several vets so I was hoping we would be able to get her fully back in shape again with a custom canine fitness program.
Up till now we have followed several courses + the custom program. The courses have all been well laid out and a lot of fun to do together with Winnie. The custom program has exceeded all my expectations in terms of feedback, help and content! Sarah not only provides us with a great progressive exercise plan, she also helped with a plan for warming up and cooling down and gives great feedback on our videos. It is not a static cookie cutter program, but Sarah keeps adapting it to our needs. She has also been very helpful in making sure the training load is appropriate around competitions and that we do not overdo it.
Sarah has a great eye for abnormalities in posture and gait and was able to notice anomalies that were missed by several physios and vets. Thanks to her observations and guidance my dog has now finally been diagnosed (by vets with the appropriate diagnostics) with some (partly chronic) injuries. I want to emphasize that without her Winnie would probably have been walking around with these injuries for several more years. Now our program has been adapted to fit the current stage of healing.
I’m excited to continue working with Sarah for Winnies sport career and beyond!

Bones (Kitten/Cat)
Bones’ transformation highlights how feline fitness training can support improved joint alignment during growth and development, which can help promote healthier movement and long-term joint support as cats age.
Boston (Senior Beagle)

“The last few years we noticed that Boston’s energy was low, he was sore more often than not. Shorter walks were necessary, etc.
We started classes with you I think almost 2 years ago? Noticed definite improvements right away. And actually- anytime he had a break from class he had these little flare ups of his arthritis, which I knew wasn’t a coincidence.
So- anyway. Fast forward to when I started doing two classes a week with him- and we started noticing subtle differences in him. More playful. Able to handle longer walks, etc.
Fast forward to 3 online classes a week now….. and we noticed something else.
He has started playing like a puppy again! He had a date with Ryder and Harlow outside last weekend. And usually he just sits and watches other dogs play.
He ran! And let them chase him! He hasn’t played like this, and this long in probably 4 years. He would play, take a break, play, take a break. Seriously. It’s been at least 4 years since we’ve seen him do this.
It was so amazing to see him like this. Your classes have made such an incredible difference in him! And we both love them so much.”

Lele’s transformation highlights how targeted canine fitness training can support improved pelvic limb weight bearing, reduce compensatory forelimb loading, and address muscular imbalances that influence limb and spinal alignment.
Dandan (Yorkshire Terrier)

Clover (Labrador Retriever)

Clover’s transformation highlights several fascinating changes. Over the course of her 12-week Custom Canine Fitness Program, her posture, movement mechanics, and overall mobility improved. She showed improved head carriage, decreased facial tension, and a more lengthened appearance through her body in both positions and movement.
Clover’s guardian also noted that Clover had significantly reduced touch sensitivity, especially through her shoulders and neck, after completing the program.
One of the more visible changes was her coat pattern, which shifted from visible tufting, uneven coat texture, zigzag patterns, and altered hair direction to a smoother coat lay with a more consistent overall appearance.
